Presence of comorbid malignancy

Heart rate > 120/min

Initial percentage of epidermal detachment > 10%

Serum urea level > 10 mmol/L

Serum glucose level > 14 mmol/L

Serum bicarbonate level < 20 mmol/L

Total Score: 0 (Max: 7)

Predicted Mortality: 1.2%

•SCORTEN is a severity-of-illness score for patients with toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS)
•The score is based on seven criteria, each contributing 1 point if present
•Total score ranges from 0 to 7, with higher scores indicating higher mortality risk
•Predicted mortality rates are based on the total score, ranging from 1.2% for score 0 to 98.5% for score 7
•SCORTEN should be assessed within the first 24 hours of hospital admission
